Apple Cake Recipe

    Ingredients
    125 grams of softened butter
    ½ cup of extra fine sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
    1 cup of all purpose flour
    1/3 cup of dehydrated apple
    1 big apple, peeled, without the heart and grated

    • Preparation time: 20 minutes
    • Baking time: 40 to 50 minutes

    Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven at a moderate temperature of 180 degrees C. Grease a round 20 centimeter in diameter baking mold with melted butter or oil. Cover the base and the walls with wax paper.
    2. Use an electric mixer to beat the butter with the sugar until you obtain a light creamy mixture. Add in the eggs gradually beating at the same time. Add in the vanilla essence. Sift the flour and add it into the preparation. Continue beating until you obtain a homogenous mixture.
    3. Cut the dehydrated apple into small pieces. Add the dry apple and the gratings into the mixture and stir all of the ingredients well until they are all mixed. With a spoon put the mixture in the mold and smoothen out the surface. Bake the cake from 40 to 50 minutes or until when poking the center of the cake with a wooden pick it comes out clean. Let it sit for at least 5 minutes then place the cake over a metal rack and let it cool. If you like once it has cooled you can add butter and vanilla cream as covering.
