Baby Blanket Cake Recipe

    Materials
    Cake made with a rectangular mold #2 (20 x 30cm)
    Wrapped base with a border 2cm bigger than the cake
    1 recipe of cookie dough
    1 recipe of glazed butter cream
    Yellow, green and peach food coloring paste
    Decorating sleeve
    Filter tip #61, 30, 401 and 81
    Royal glaze
    Design for the face and hands and the drawings on the blanket

    Shaping and decoration

    1. Stretch the cookie dough and cut a circle for the face and the two hands of the baby. Bake and let them cool off.
    2. Border it with peach colored glaze using filter tip #30.
    3. With the same filter tip trace the mouth and make 2 little balls (which are squashed with the hand and starch) to mark the cheeks. In the same manner make the eyes a green color.
    4. For the hair make a curl using filter tip #61.
    5. Place the cake onto the wrapped cardboard and cover the surface with glaze
    6. Divide the top surface in three lengthy strips and these at the same time in four horizontals forming the rectangles this way.
    7. Transfer each one of the designs in the different divisions and outline them with green glaze and filter tip #30.
    8. With filter tip #61 fill in the drawings and the surface of the rectangles.
    9. Complete the top border with yellow ruffles using filter tip #401 and finish it by making shell shaped ribbings made with peach glaze and filter tip #61.
    10. Make the lower ribbing in rose shapes with filter tip #61 and peach colored glaze.
    11. Finally place the face and the hands of the baby in the top part of the cake.
