Beggar-lice in Medicinal Herbs

Curative properties

Kidney affections: drink the brew 3 to 4 times a day during 2 to 3 weeks.

Anxiety: drink the brew.

Asthma: drink the infusion.

Sedative: drink the brew.

Digestive: drink the brew 3 to 4 times a day during 2 to 3 weeks.

Diuretic: drink the brew 3 to 4 times a day during 2 to 3 weeks.

Back pain: drink the brew, one cup before meals between 3 to 5 days.  The tincture can be taken one forth of cup 3 times a day, between 7 to 10 days.

Muscular pain: drink the brew, one cup before meals between 3 to 5 days.

Vaginal affections: wash area with the brew.

Urinary tract inflammation: drink the brew 3 to 4 cups during 2 to 3 weeks.

Laxative: drink the brew, 3 to 4 cups during 2 to 3 weeks.

Preparation 

Brew: boil in low temperature between 10 to 20g of leaves and stems per liter of water during 15 minutes or the whole plant in 3 cups of water during one minute. Let stand for a few minutes, strain and serve.

Infusion: add one or two spoonfuls of grinded herb to a cup of water.  Drink in three daily doses. 

Tincture: submerge the whole plant in rum for 24 hours.

Precaution
In case of pregnancy or nursing, do not use without medical supervision.  Recommended to take alone.  Mixed with other plants, can produce side effects.  Due to its bitter taste, can produce nauseas, headaches and dizziness.
