Materials
Cake made with a rectangular mold #2 (20 cm x 30 cm)
Tray
1 recipe of fondant or marzipan
ΒΌ kg sweet condensed milk
Cream for the filling of your choice
Green, light blue and lilac food coloring paste
Cellophane paper
1 meter lilac ribbon
Small leaf shaped cutter
The necessary amount of almond candy
Marking pin
Shaping and decoration
- Cut the cake in 3 layers, cut a rectangle in the middle of 2 of them leaving a frame of about 5 cm around them.
- Place one of the cut layers on top of the other and put the filling in the middle.
- Place a piece of cellophane paper the same size as the cake on the tray and place the cake on top.
- Fill the hole with the candied almonds and cover with the other layer of the cake placing more filling on it.
- Put the sweet condensed milk on all the cake.
- Dye the fondant or marzipan a water green color and leave a little to make the lilac color that is dyed very lightly.
- Stretch both pastes until they are 5 mm approximately in thickness. Cut the water green paste and cover each side of the “box” cake separately.
- With the paste cutter, cut pieces the size of the candied almonds and fill in those spaces with the lilac colored paste.
- Stick the paste to the corresponding sides of the cake, do the same with all sides until you finish the decoration.
- Place some cornstarch on your hands and rub the joining with your hands to leave them in a prolific form.
- Add a card made with the lilac paste and write the name of the person you are paying homage to in it.
- Finish by placing the ribbon around the box.
Note Don’t forget to keep the rest of the paste covered while working.
