Cake made with in a round mold of #20
Cream for the filling of your choice
Cardboard base of the same shape as the cake
Wooden base with a border of 5 cm bigger than the cake wrapped with metal paper
1 recipe of chocolate frosting
ΒΌ kg of sweet condensed milk
A little Royal glaze
A little marzipan
Decorating sleeve
Filter tip #71
Yellow, red and black food coloring paste
Thin tipped brush
Yellow cellophane paper
1 big candle
Brown sugar for sprinkling
Bees
Dye the marzipan a yellow color and prepare 12 bees. With the brush and diluted brown coloring draw three lines on the bodies of the bees and their eyes; with red coloring make the mouth. Cut strips of cellophane paper and make the wings by wrinkling the center a little and place them in the back of the head.
Cake
Fill in the cake as you wish and place it on the cardboard disc.
With a knife cut the sides of the cake to give it a round shape, let it rest in the freezer for 1 night.
Shaping and decoration
- Pour the condensed milk on the cake.
- Cover it with the chocolate frosting placing it on a railing for the excess to drip off.
- Move it very carefully to its definite tray.
- With a fork make the streaks on the entire surface.
- Mark the hole of the door with white glaze and smoothen it.
- Make the door with a slice of the cut cake and cover it with the chocolate frosting and let it dry.
- Once the door is dry, decorate the part that will be facing the entrance with white glaze and star shaped filter tip #71. Place it on the cake.
- Place the bees dispersed on top of the hive.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar at the base and place the candle at the center of the cake.
