Chocolate Cake and Sour Cream Recipe

    This cake is perfect as a dessert accompanied by whipped cream or ice cream and fresh berries.

    Ingredients
    1 cup of extra fine sugar
    1 ¾ cup of flour
    2/3 cup of cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon of baking soda
    ¼ cup of vegetable oil
    ¾ cup of sour cream
    2/3 cup of water
    2 eggs

    • Preparation time: 15 minutes
    • Baking time: 35 to 40 minutes

    Preparation

    1. Preheat the oven at a moderate temperature of 180 degrees C. Butter a deep baking round baking dish of 20 centimeters in diameter with butter or oil.
    2. Put all of the ingredients in an electric mixer. Turn it on and off every once in awhile until you obtain a homogeneous texture.
    3. Put the dough in the buttered baking dish and bake it for 35 to 40 minutes or until a pick that has been poked into the middle of the cake comes out clean. Leave the cake to cool inside the mold for around 10 minutes. Then flip the cake on to of a metal grill and let it cool. If you wish you can also cover the cake with cake chocolate cake covering.
