Arthritis: apply compresses. Submerge any natural porous fiber in the cinnamon infusion and place it over affected area until discomfort diminishes.
Asthma, diarrhea, and sudorific: drink the brew of the cinnamon twigs. Boil 0.5 to 1g of branches per liter of water, for 2 minutes. In case of diarrhea and as sudorific, take after each meal.
Colic, digestive, stomachache, and gases: drink the mixture of half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in one cup of tepid water, 2 times a day. You can also drink the brew of cinnamon twigs. Boil from 0.5 to 1g of twigs per liter of water for 2 minutes. Drink a cup after each meal.
Cuts and scrapes: wash the affected area, dry and sprinkle cinnamon powder. Repeat process as many times as needed.
Abdominal pain: helpful specially after giving birth. Prepare cinnamon infusion with brown sugar. You can also massage with the mixture of 10ml of cinnamon oil in 25ml of almond or sunflower oil.
Oral infection, bad breath: chew a cinnamon stick or prepare an oral antiseptic mouthwash.
Menstrual problems: to control flow excess, drink the cinnamon infusion.
Flu: drink the infusion of on teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup of milk. You can also add a spoonful of brandy to this mixture.
Precaution
Not recommended while pregnant. In case of nursing, do not follow any treatment without medical supervision. In high doses, fresh cinnamon or it’s oil can irritate the skin and produce convulsions. It is not recommended to give children under 2 years of age the infusion. If there is any fever, use with precaution. Its use can cause allergies.
