Citrus Syrup Recipe

    Ingredients
    1 and ½ cups of extra fine sugar
    1/3 cup of limejuice
    1/3 cup of water
    3 strips of peels (your choice of citrics)

    Preparation

    1. Mix al the ingredients in a casserole. Stir over low heat while continually stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Bring this preparation to a boil and then reduce the heat. Cook the syrup for 12 to 15 minutes or until it starts to thicken. 
    2. Take the peel out of the preparation and pour the hot syrup over a cold cake. If you want you can also allow it to cool and then spread it over a hot cake.
