Ingredients
1 and ½ cups of extra fine sugar
1/3 cup of limejuice
1/3 cup of water
3 strips of peels (your choice of citrics)
Preparation
- Mix al the ingredients in a casserole. Stir over low heat while continually stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Bring this preparation to a boil and then reduce the heat. Cook the syrup for 12 to 15 minutes or until it starts to thicken.
- Take the peel out of the preparation and pour the hot syrup over a cold cake. If you want you can also allow it to cool and then spread it over a hot cake.
